Only a few years after the Morgans arrived in England they began
showing at the British Driving Society Shows with great success. Their
natural beauty, elegance and athletic paces ensured they captured the
judges attention. Morgans have taken some of the most sought after
prizes in Concours d Elegance and Private Driving throughout Britain,
including winning Harness Horse of the Year.

Over the years Monnington has
produced various pairs and singles for the show ring. Shown to
traditional American vehicles and with American harness they attract
much attention and admiration. Stars such as Tarryall Maestro,
Springervale Pecora and many others have competed at the BDS shows
within their own breed showing season. This is quite a feat as both
disciplines have completely different requirements. This shows the
wonderful disposition and versatility of these amazing horses.

They have also excelled in FEI
driving, the harness equivalent of Three Day Eventing. They compete in
Dressage, Cross-country (complete with obstacles) and end with a cone
course. To succeed in this sport the horses must have many qualities
including stamina, agility and a wonderful temperament. Monnington has
bred two European FEI Champions, Monnington Gershwin owned and driven
by Richard Fisher, and Solstice Firedance owned and driven by Christine
Jackson.
